Disconnection getaway for lovers of great spaces, fresh air, and spectacular landscapes. To disconnect physically and mentally. Let yourself be captivated by the great beauty of unspoiled nature, by the majesty of the immensity. The ideal route to feel away from everything and close to heaven.

A medium-high level of riding is required (riding safely at the three gaits) and experience in outdoor riding. Otherwise, it must be indicated in advance. The days on horseback usually last between 6/7 hours and we travel an average of 25 kilometers, depending on the terrain, the weather, the group etc.

The hotel is a former 19th century inn converted into comfortable mountain lodge. It is situated beside the Aragón River, a peaceful place to rest and enjoy the nature. It is located two kilometers from Jaca and close to the main ski resorts of the Aragonese Pyrenees.

Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon at the hotel and dinner by the night.

Day 2: After breakfast, early, we saddle the horses and set off on the Camino de Santiago, which borders our hotel, we will take it towards Jaca. We will take paths that begin to ascend between lush forests that will lead us to the Sierra de Los Ángeles. We will cross the crest of the mountain range reaching the highest point of the route, about 1,360m of altitude, which offers us the first majestic views of the Pyrenees. We will cross the Aragón river again by one of the many old stone bridges in the valley to cross the town of Castiello and resume the Camino de Santiago. After about 28 kilometers on horseback, we return to our base to savor a traditional menu washed down with delicious Somontano wine. By the afternoon we continue our horseback through a pine and fir forest filling this important eco-park in the valley with life. Now we have to cross the glacial waters of the Aragon River, one of the most important tributaries of the Ebro River, to enter a very different landscape. Fields of wheat, barley, hay or rapeseed fill both sides of the Orbil road in Villanúa with color and texture, already back towards our center. Dinner.

Day 3: Breakfast. Heading towards the Garcipollera natural reserve, we will enter lush forests with a very varied animal life. You don’t need a lot of luck to come across deer, wild boar, sarrios and other small mammals. We can also observe a great variety of birds and birds of prey, such as golden eagles and vultures, the most striking being the gigantic “lammergeier”, in danger of extinction.
We will ride through an exceptional natural environment crowned by the majestic peaks of the Pyrenees, some of them exceeding 3,000 meters, standing out against a sky often of an intense blue.
After and outdoor lunch, we will cross abandoned villages, sad and silent memories of the urban emigration of the industrial era, with the only sound of our horses’ hooves. After about five or six hours on horseback we return to the Center. If we are not tired it will be the ideal day to visit Jaca.

Day 4: Breakfast. Today it is time to take the route of more kilometers (31 km), but the one with less unevenness, as we are going to focus on touring all the “little villages” located around the capital of Jacetania until we reach it and visit its famous Citadel of Jaca. Star-shaped fortress dating from the 16th century that is still in operation today. We will have an outdoor lunch in one of the villages. By the afternoon we will take the Camino de Santiago, towards France, to return to the hotel. End of the trip.
