If you’re looking for horseback riding to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Guadalquivir plain and the impressive views of the Altojardín Fortress, this is the route for you. In approximately an hour and a half, you’ll ride with excellent professionals and beautiful, specially selected horses around the town of Almodóvar del Río, where you’ll find the Castillo de la Floresta, popularly known as Almodóvar Castle, where part of the television series Game of Thrones was filmed, and where it would later appear as the Altojardín Fortress. After visiting the surroundings of the Castle, you’ll explore the beautiful town of Almodóvar, with its unique layout of Moorish origins, and learn about the location of the Portus, the only river port on the Guadalquivir River where the Romans shipped oil from Baetica to Rome.
